Care & Maintenance

Carolf Furniture is very easy to maintain and an ideal option for a functional lifestyle. It is resistant to cracks, scratches, stains and heat. Follow these simple care and use guidelines and your Carolf Furniture countertop will provide you with many years of trouble free use.

For every day cleaning use a soft sponge or dishcloth with warm water. Wipe any spills promptly to keep the surface clean.

For stubborn or greasy clean-ups use a gentle liquid cleaner like 409 or Simple Green etc. or ordinary dish washing detergent e.g. Palmolive with warm water and a white Scotch Brite.

Never use red or green Scotch Brite on Carolf Furniture as they contain abrasives and may dull the finish.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or chemicals such as drain cleaners, paint thinner, strippers or products containing Hydrofluoric acid, Methylene chloride, Trichloroethylene or any product with a very high or very low PH. These types of chemicals may etch or discolor the surface of Carolf Furniture.

There is no need to seal your Carolf Furniture countertop. Sealers cannot penetrate Quartz surface. Eventually the sealer will start to wear off unevenly in high use areas causing the polish to appear inconsistent.

Carolf Furniture is heat resistant and under normal conditions is not affected. Using a trivet or hot pad between is recommended when using crock pots, deep fryers, hot pots and pans or electric skillets. Sudden or rapid change of temperature or sustained heating, especially near edges and cut outs, may create enough thermal expansion energy to cause your countertop to crack. Never put hot cookware directly on the Carolf Furniture surface.

Carolf Furniture is scratch resistant. However, avoid using sharp knives or screwdrivers directly on the surface. Use of cutting board is recommended.
